We supply the most often used, and sail shade manufacturer recommended, support rope. The type of rope required is double braid Dacron, 3/16" diameter. Dacron is a trade name by Dupont for their rope which is made from polyester material. Double braid, vs. single braid, is stronger, has a smoother outer jacket, is highly resistant to UV, mildew, rot, water and is highly stretch resistant under heavy loads.
